High on Mountains
Digging out plant roots,
walking the path of my own roots.
Foraging mushrooms, wild berries and admiring
Rosehip abundance in my basket.
Spirit whispers and sun embraces.
Wilderness is where I am reborn
and where all mental unrest runs to drown
itself voluntarily in the gurgling springs,
streams and ponds that emerge behind every curve of this forest path,
and what used to be a dry meadow now is a lush green oasis of singing waters feeding the valley straight from the rocky hillsides and pointy mountain tops.
Life is a blue-green rhapsody and
I am so blessed to be a Wild,
and not a Tamed Woman.
